COVID 19 and the 2020 season

June 13th update

We at Hadley's Point are committed to our guests health and safety. We are closely following the evolving Maine CDC, Governor Mills (AND? Bar Harbor) Covid-19 guidelines. At this time, all adult guests (18 and over) coming to Maine will have to follow the Executive Order issued by Governor Mills called the “Keeping Maine Healthy Plan” (https://www.maine.gov/covid19/restartingmaine/keepmainehealthy). The plan states that only residents of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont are allowed to move freely about the state with no Covid-19 actions required. All other states are given three options per Governor Mills Executive Order: 1. Have taken a Maine CDC approved Covid-19 test and received a negative result no later than 72 prior to entering Maine; 2. Pledge to quarantine in Maine for 14 days upon arrival; 3. Have completed a 14 day quarantine in Maine prior to check in.

At this time the State of Maine is requiring all lodging establishments to issue a Certificate of Compliance (https://www.maine.gov/decd/sites/maine.gov.decd/files/inlinefiles/ KeepMaineHealthy_GuestComplianceCertificate.pdf) to all guests who do not live in Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont. The certificate asks which quarantine measure each adult has taken and must be signed and presented to the lodging establishment upon check-in. This form (and the negative test result if applicable) will also need to be shown at any other Maine lodging establishment. Additionally, the adults may be asked to show their negative test results while they are in Maine.

This Executive Order effects all June and July reservations. Governor Mills has not currently stated whether these measures will extend into August, September and October. If you feel uncomfortable, or unable, to sign the Certificate of Compliance and your reservation is impacted by Covid-19, Hadley's Point is offering a refund to our guests. Please call us as soon as possible to cancel your reservation and we will refund your deposit less a small processing fee.

While the campground is closely monitoring the local and state guidelines, we encourage all guests to visit and keep up to date via the Maine CDC page (https:// www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/), Governor Mills' Covid-19 page (https://www.maine.gov/ covid19/) and Bar Harbor page (https://www.barharbormaine.gov/). Additionally the State of Maine does ask (OR require) all residents and visitors to wear a mask while in public, practice social distancing and to stay at home if you are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms such as: fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, new loss of taste or smell (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html).

Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this unprecedented time.
